Another favorite that went with Katrina… after rebuilding from Camille AND Betsy. Ye olde belovèd Annie’s Restaurant in Henderson Point. Regulars still remember the live music and a fireplace in every dining room, or how in ‘69 with only the hearth left standing, Annie grilled food for first responders for a week before she would even start to rebuild.

Kit with threads included!
Just teenier and tinier than the big boys! These lil imps make great bag charms or key fobs.
Specify your bead colors in the custom color form! 18 mesh only, a little under 2” square.
Sparkles in the tree tops! Mardi Gras bead trees dot New Orleans year round. A favorite of university students, children, and neighborhood characters of all ages, a bead tree is empirical proof that New Orleans is equally jewel box and trash heap—a cheap gimmicky plastic cascade of universally treasured beauty.
Select one of three colorways (Multicolor Deluxe, LSU, or Purple Green ‘n’ Gold) or choose your own colors for a custom tree, just let us know in the comments field at checkout—I’m looking at you Tulanians, Loyolans, Xiavierites, and Dillardines, ya heard?
I cannot exaggerate how good the Bananas Foster Daiquiri is. Saba Restaurant at Nashville and Magazine!
Painted on 18ct mono canvas, not available on 13.
This may be the only needlepoint ornament of a gay leather bar in existence. Since 1983 the Phoenix has been a community hub on Elysian Fields Ave at North Rampart. Catering to the neighborhood regulars and alternative gay communities alike, it is as welcoming and neighborly as it is dark and seedy too.
Painted on 18ct canvas, not available on 13.
Local and beloved, Pêche Seafood Grill was an instant classic in 2013 and has been a New Orleans favorite ever since.
Ships with DMC cotton threads. Painted on 18ct mono canvas only, not available on 13 mesh.
A portion of proceeds benefits this excellent non profit organization in New Orleans, preserving our historic cemeteries for the years to come.
An urban farm in Central City with goats, a pizza oven, great pop ups, and a lovely art market. Catch us regularly at the Paradigm Sunday Brunch Markets. Presented here (4” round) on 18 mesh with three kitted thread options.
This sweet charmer is the house catty corner to where I grew up, Uptown. Kind of a big’un for our line. The 18 mesh version measures 7.00 in x 5.95 in. It’s intended as more of a framed piece or a standup / book end of some kind. The larger, 13 mesh version measures 9.75 in x 8.25 give or take a stitch or two.
I’ve decorated this little chapel for Easter, replete with crepe myrtles, azaleas, bunnies, and resurrection! A hair under 4”x6” on 18 mesh. I can paint it on 13 mesh, so please see variations in the small drop down menu.
(Scaling an 18m design for 13m requires 38% more canvas surface and necessitates a a small up charge. Wish it weren’t so.)
Yummy French food. At La Madeleine, ordering a croque monsieur and strawberries Romanoff, Jules is only 27 and somehow ends up eating with the 2pm dinner crowd, we don’t know how or why. Available on 13 or 18 mesh.
Ubiquitous on the Gulf Coast, GULF filling stations used to sport beautiful, enormous, enameled signs. This GULF dealer sign has been selected from among vintage originals & has been lovingly rendered to make a 4 inch round on 18 count canvas.
Not available on 13 count at this time.
